Customers could receive $600 per system for qualifying central air conditioners and $800 for qualifying air source heat pumps. Air conditioners and air source heat pumps must be inverter driven OR they must have an EER2 of 12.0 AND a SEER2 of 15.2. Qualifying geothermal heat pumps can qualify for up to $1,500 per system. Incentives for geothermal heat pumps are based on the EER at high-speed operation (see links below for more information). All equipment must be AHRI rated. Systems greater than 5.4 tons must be submitted under the Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Program. Contact SEP@les.com regarding systems greater than 5.4 tons.

Heat Pump Incentives – City of Lincoln, NE
Reminder for City Incentives:
- City incentives begin September 1, 2025; any installations completed before this date will not qualify for City funding but may still be eligible for LES incentives.
- Most program terms, conditions, and application processes remain the same as the last round. However, there is one important change to note:
- Previously, heat pumps replacing any window A/C unit qualified for the City incentive. Heat pumps replacing window A/C units now only qualify for the City incentive if the property does not currently have central air conditioning.
