2025 Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency

Under this program, LES offers commercial and industrial customers incentives for energy-efficiency measures that result in peak demand/energy savings. Incentives include but are not limited to high-efficiency HVAC, variable frequency drives, energy management systems, motion sensors for lights, compressed air systems upgrades, Energy Star kitchen appliances, and refrigeration upgrades. If you are considering another energy-efficient measure, it may qualify for a custom incentive from LES. The first step for any project is to reach out to SEP@les.com. Please note that pre-authorization is required under this program to qualify for an incentive.

2025 Heat Pump Water Heater

Customers could receive $500 per qualifying heat pump water. The unit can be installed in residential or commercial buildings (new or existing). The UEF (efficiency rating) must be at least 2.0 for 40 to 55 gallon and at least 2.2 for over 55 gallon. The unit must be listed by Energy Star.

2025 High-Efficiency Heat Pump and Air Conditioner

Customers could receive $600 per system for qualifying central air conditioners and $800 for qualifying air source heat pumps. Air conditioners and air source heat pumps must be inverter driven OR they must have an EER2 of 12.0 AND a SEER2 of 15.2. Qualifying geothermal heat pumps can qualify for up to $1,500 per system. Incentives for geothermal heat pumps are based on the EER at high-speed operation (see links below for more information). All equipment must be AHRI rated. Systems greater than 5.4 tons must be submitted under the Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Program. Contact SEP@les.com regarding systems greater than 5.4 tons.

Heat Pump Incentives – City of Lincoln, NE

Reminder for City Incentives: City General Population Heat Pump incentives have been expended. Only City Low- and Moderate-Income Heat Pump incentives remain ($3,000). You will still apply for the $800 LES incentive in our portal, but your customer must reach out to  urbandev@lincoln.ne.gov to apply for the Low- and Moderate-Income incentive.

2025 Whole House Sealing and Insulation

Customers in existing homes and commercial buildings with no wall or minimal attic insulation (R-19 or less) can qualify for up to $1,500 to seal penetrations. Incentives are available at $0.80/square foot for wall insulation and $0.50/square foot for attic insulation. Once insulation is added to the attic, the R-value must be at least R-49. Once insulation is added to the walls, the R-value must be at least R-13. A pre- and post-blower door test also is required.
